Lara Trump celebrates wedding anniversary with Eric: ‘5 years, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 successful Presidential campaign’
Lara Trump rang in her wedding anniversary with Eric on Friday by posting black-and-white photos of their extravagant reception.
“5 years, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 successful Presidential campaign later and I wouldn’t change a thing,” Lara, 37, wrote in her post, adding throwback shots of the couple kissing, eating pink-and-white wedding cake and laughing.
Lara (whose maiden name is Yunaska), a former producer on the television show Inside Edition, met the first son, then a VP in the Trump Organization, during a night out with friends in New York. “Being probably the two tallest people in the room was really helpful,” Lara told Fox & Friends in 2016. “We spotted each other across the room. So, I was immediately intrigued and hopefully Eric felt the same way.”
Yet the pair waited three months to go on their first date and five years to get engaged. What was behind the delay? “Eric wanted to make very sure,” Lara explained, laughing. “Very, very sure,” Eric piped up.
Their wedding was held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., the Trump weekend getaway that’s now the first couple’s primary residency, in front of 400 guests, according to the New York Times.
Lara wore a Vera Wang gown, telling People, “It was the first dress that I tried on and actually felt like a bride. I knew that I needed a dress that would be seen from even the farthest guest’s viewpoint!”
Midway through the reception, the bride slipped on fingerless gloves to conceal two broken wrists, the result of a horseback riding accident that week, reported People. “I had to get creative with a way to make casts look bridal,” Lara told the outlet. “Fortunately, my wedding planner and my designer came up with some fabulously bedazzled gloves to try and blend these casts.”
Lara’s jewelry reportedly came from the former Ivanka Trump Collection, and the couple’s beagle, Charlie, was the ring bearer, Lara told Fox & Friends.

The couple has done a lot in five years: In 2017, Lara gave birth to their first child, a son named Eric “Luke” Trump, and then, in August, had daughter Carolina Dorothy Trump. Lara has also worked on her father-in-law’s presidential campaign, and in June, she launched the Women for Trump coalition to help re-elect President Trump in 2020, per The Hill.
The Trumps haven’t posted their anniversary plans — and on Thursday, Eric reported for jury duty in New York City, according to the New York Daily News — although he surely has romance on his mind.
Last year, Eric tweeted about the day’s importance, writing, “November 8th is a big day in my life! First, it’s the day ?@LaraLeaTrump and I got married! It’s also the day we won the election! Hard to believe it has been 4 and 2 years ago respectively!”
