The Latest ‘Masked Singer’ Episode Spelled the End for Another Fan Favorite—and *Stumped* the Judges
*Warning: Spoilers ahead*
On Sunday, we said goodbye to the Robot—aka Lil Wayne. And episode two brought even more drama, another guest host (Jason Biggs) and, yes, another unmasking. Plus, we learned what each character was voted ‘most likely to.’
So, without further ado, here’s everything that happened on tonight’s episode of The Masked Singer: Group A playoffs.
The Llama
Voted: Most likely to be around shooting cannons
According to this week’s clues, this four legged character can play the accordion, loves yoga and likes to approach the competition by “spinning his wheels.” He chose “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones and sounded pretty good. (OK, very good.) Judge Ken Jeong was convinced this is Joel McHale—which honestly isn’t a bad guess. Some of the other judges picked Woody Harrelson for his shared love of namaste.
Jason Biggs said it best, this guy has that “Llama Swagger.”
Miss Monster
Voted: Most likely to be in the presence of royalty
During her introduction clues, this gal recreated that iconic portrait scene from Titanic (only instead with Mr. Monster, not Leo). She also included a queen reference in her painting. Interesting. Again, we definitely hear a twang in Miss Monster’s voice and she got the audience up on their feet. Jeong was booed for his guess of Céline Dion and we totally agree with the crowd. But then again, one audience member guessed Miley Cyrus...
The White Tiger
Voted: Most likely to go to the mat for a friend
This feline favorite really brought his moves this time around. One of his clues included that dancing actually helps heal his body. Not to mention, he loves a good block party...whatever that means. The tiger opted for another feel good song with “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. Judge Robin Thicke believes this is Rob Gronkowski, which seemed to be a pretty good guess considering the rest of the panel agreed. One thing we know for sure? The guy under this mask has a singing background.
The Kangaroo
Voted: Most likely to appear on a list with Seal and Mike Tyson
This episode revealed that Kangaroo is scared to be in the spotlight “again” (?). Her clues included a lot of basketball references and that she needed to be a role model for little roo. So, we’re thinking this lady is a mama. This boxer performed “You Know I'm No Good” by Amy Winehouse and Thicke quickly revealed he officially has a favorite. Biggs guessed Tatiana Ali, while Jeong picked Gabrielle Union. Wow, we so hope one of them is right.
The Turtle
Voted: Most likely to hunt for booty (scandalous)
This tortoise says he’s always expected to act (an actor perhaps?) a certain way and wants to rebel from all of that. He seems like he might be part of a rock and roll band but is ready to break out of his shell—which is exactly what he did when he chose the love song “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. Jeong believes this is definitely a boy bander, specifically AJ McLean. However, Thicke made a good connection between green Turtle and Green Day. We’re stumped on this one.
Elimination
The masked singer with the least votes was the Llama. The panel revealed their final guesses were Woody Harrelson, Adam Carolla, Joel McHale, Kelsey Grammer and Johnny Knoxville.
Close, but no cigar.
“TAKE IT OFF, TAKE IT OFF, TAKE IT OFF!”
Drumroll please...the Llama was...Drew Carey! OK, we’re officially hooked. The Masked Singer Group A Championship airs next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
