Lebanon’s Antique Show returning
LEBANON — The Lebanon Historical Society will celebrate its 57th Outdoor Antique Show on Sept. 28.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
For more than half a century antique dealers and collectors have gathered on the Lebanon Green to take part in this event. Up to 60 dealers will offer antiques and collectibles to buyers from around Connecticut and southern New England.
The Outdoor Antique Show began in 1966 as an effort to fund Lebanon Historical Society programs and to help pay for the land needed to build a museum.
Today, the Antique Show is still the Lebanon Historical Society’s largest and most vital fundraising event, with proceeds supporting school programs, exhibits and historical presentations.
Dealers have participated in the Antique Show for numerous years, but new dealers are added every year.
Visitors can expect to find 19th-century furniture, vintage tools, traditional pottery and textiles, glassware and jewelry.
Admission to the show is $8 and lunch and snacks are available for purchase all day. This includes homemade chowders, sandwiches, grilled burgers, hot dogs and homemade pie.
Parking is free and the event goes on rain or shine.
