Legacy at Town Creek hold fundraiser Thursday for fishing derby
May 21—Legacy at Town Creek is hosting its annual fundraiser Thursday, May 23, with all proceeds going toward its 20th annual fishing event for residents and families.
"For the past 20 years, Cartmell, now Legacy at Town Creek, has hosted a fishing event for our residents and it is one of their absolute favorites," said Legacy Administrator Mary Jo Spivey. "In keeping with the tradition, Legacy has continued to do a hamburger fundraiser to help offset the costs. ... our residents have a blast. We set it up out on the lawn by the original Home Place Unit and if you drive by you will no doubt hear lots of squeals and laughs as they land the big ones!"
Meals are $12 and include a cheeseburger with all the toppings, chips, a cookie and a drink.
Pre-orders are encouraged and may be placed by calling 903-727-8500 or emailing [email protected]. Online payments are also available this year. A link will be sent with email orders.
Orders may be picked between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 2212 W. Reagan in Palestine.
Delivery in Palestine for an order of five cheeseburgers or more is available. Orders for delivery must be arranged prior to May 23 in order to ensure enough drivers are available.
