Lil Wayne's daughter tells troll who said she needed breast implants: 'I'm good. Society ruined you.'

Reginae Carter is hip-hop royalty. The daughter of legendary rapper Lil Wayne has become a social media star in her own right, boasting over 3 million Instagram followers.

In a recent Instagram photo, the 19-year-old posed wearing a monochromatic outfit, including a revealing crop top. The teen was scrutinized by an online troll, who with a backhanded compliment said she needed breast augmentation surgery. Her response was admired by many, who applauded her stance of self-love and ability to embrace who she is.

The commenter wrote under the photo: “you lit! all you need to do is get you some breast implants! no shade!!! because i think you LIT!!” Carter replied: “I’m good. Society ruined you tho.”

Her mother, Toya Wright, shared a screenshot of the interaction on her Instagram account. She captioned the post in a heartfelt defense on behalf of her daughter. “I’m sorry but I had to repost this…. this is why so many young girls have low self-esteem.”

Despite some negative comments directed toward Carter, she has received an overwhelming amount of love and support. “Girl ur boobs are fine. Don’t put that on your body. Why would anyone suggest that,” one commenter wrote. “You are beautiful just the way you are,” added another.

It’s not surprising that her post has gained more than 185,000 likes and over 1,500 comments, as there’s a growing awareness on social media of the body-positivity movement.

Body-positive influencers such as Chidera Eggerue are leading the charge in helping women and young girls love their bodies, specifically their boobs, just the way they are. Eggerue created the #SaggyBoobsMatter social media campaign to shine a light on women who have bigger breasts but get shamed by society because their breasts aren’t “perky.”

“This movement exists because women should not have to explain their bodies to anybody,” Eggerue told Yahoo Lifestyle.

Just as Wright came to her daughter’s defense, other celebrities have also responded to internet trolls for shaming women’s bodies. Mark Consuelos came to the defense of his wife, Kelly Ripa, after hundreds of people criticized him for sharing a swimsuit photo of her on the beach.

“If that offends you in some way, if it triggers you, or some other psychosis you’re suffering from, I suggest you get over it and get used to it,” Consuelos wrote. “To all the males that had something negative to say… I suggest you bring it up with me if I’m ever lucky enough to run into you. I’m going to get back to my vacation now. Thanks for allowing me to express myself.”
