Livestream of the Royal Baby’s Public Debut
At 11:01 a.m. today, the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a baby boy that weighed 8 pounds 7 oz., according to Kensington Palace.
While the new prince's name likely won't be announced for another few days, it is expected that the world will get its first glimpse of the royal baby any minute now when Kate Middleton and Prince William depart the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital to take their newborn home to Kensington Palace.
Even if you couldn't make it over to England to join the crowds waiting to greet the royal baby outside the Lindo Wing, you can still watch the prince's debut in real time via livestream set up by the media waiting outside the hospital.
So far, the live feed has captured Tony Appleton, a town crier, announce the baby's birth.
There was also this false alert when an unsuspecting couple who gave birth around the same time as Duchess Kate exited the hospital to a frenzy of photographs.
But as of 2:00 p.m. GMT it appears to be business as usual with three police officers guarding the doors as pedestrians pass by in front of the hospital.
Stay tuned for more.
