My hair and I have had a love-hate relationship, practically since forever. I try my hardest to get it to behave, while it insists on trying to be the frizziest, most unruly mop ever. But that all changed when I discovered Living Proof.
I was initially intrigued when I learned that the company was developed by a team of biotech scientists and leading hair stylists who wanted to make better beauty products. So, they came up with an entire line of breakthrough, silicone-free offerings that use technology that originated from MIT. Because Living Proof is so high tech, it's not cheap—but OMG is it worth it.
I first started out by trying the company's Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 styler. It completely revolutionized my hair. My frizz was gone, and I started having hair that looked good when I woke up, which used to happen pretty much never. Next, I moved on to Living Proof's In-Shower Styler, which helped me get that perfectly tousled beachy look.
I've always been intrigued by the company's Perfect Hair Day shampoo and conditioner but, to be honest, I didn't feel super comfortable shelling out close to $80 for the set. But I really noticed the power of this set after I blow-dried. Thanks to regular workouts and an oily scalp, I usually have to wash and blow out my hair every other day. But, after using the Perfect Hair Day shampoo and conditioner, I got another day of wear out of a blowout.
