Longwood Gardens teases tickets to famous Christmas show. Here's what to know

Longwood Gardens wants to plant its famous Christmas show on your lips, with tickets on sale now.

"A Longwood Christmas" is Longwood's most popular event of the year and is known to sell out dates early, so you'll want to reserve your tickets ASAP.

The event is on view Friday, Nov. 22, until Sunday, Jan. 12.

This year's holiday show will be extra special, coinciding with the grand opening of the multimillion-dollar "Longwood Reimagined: A New Garden Experience," which is a major revitalization project. Both events launch on Nov. 22.

Your ticket to "A Longwood Christmas" includes access to all the new Longwood Reimagined spaces.

What is A Longwood Christmas 2024?

Guests will witness over 500,000 shimmering lights during "A Longwood Christmas," a staple event that Longwood first opened in 1957. Timed admission tickets are required, and daily slots are from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This holiday event is known for featuring lots of ornate Christmas trees, both indoors and outdoors. This year there will be cool new spaces to feast your eyes on — from the West Conservatory to fresh outdoor landscapes — that will be draped in festive decor.

Taste of Christmas at Longwood Gardens

New this year is the Taste of Christmas at The Fountain Room. Located in the heart of Gardens, The Fountain Room is newly opened as part of Longwood Reimagined and is a welcoming space that offers a lush view of the Main Fountain Garden.

Guests will enjoy exclusive access to stations featuring a mix of sweet, savory and carved-to-order selections, non-alcoholic beverages, hot chocolate and more, according to press materials. Special tickets are required.

Tickets for Taste of Christmas at The Fountain Room, which include Gardens Admission, are $178.74 for adults (ages 21+), $117.34 (ages 13-20); and $74.94 (ages 5-12); members $136.74 (21+), $94.34 (ages 13-20), $51.94 (ages 5-12). Kids age 4 or younger are free.

What is Longwood Reimagined at Longwood Gardens?

Longwood Reimagined promises to reimagine 17 acres of Longwood’s Conservatory and grounds. The revitalization project, which started in 2021, aims to create a seamless connection from Longwood's central grounds, from east to west.

The crown jewel and largest single piece of the project is the new West Conservatory. The 32,000-square-foot glasshouse is designed by Weiss/Manfredi, with gardens and water features by Reed Hilderbrand. The entire Reimagined project is estimated at $250 million. 

Each guest's ticket to "A Longwood Christmas" also includes access to all the new Longwood Reimagined spaces.

How much are tickets for A Longwood Christmas?

"A Longwood Christmas" (Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, near Kennett Square, Pennsylvania) is open with timed slots from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday, starting Friday, Nov. 22, until Sunday, Jan. 12. (Longwood is also open on Christmas.). Tickets are up to $42 each. SNAP/EBT/PA Access Cardholders are accepted for $8 per person (photo ID required. Max 4 people per card.
