Lush's Latest Ads Are a Powerful Addition to the Inclusive Beauty Movement
Just when we thought Lush couldn’t win over our hearts even more, they dropped their latest ad campaign. The photoshoot spotlights two LGBT couples celebrating Valentine’s Day right — in the bathtub.
The brand purposely released the photos over Inauguration weekend, tweeting its support for the Women’s March and LGBT rights. A photo of a lesbian couple enjoying a bath was captioned, “To everyone marching today, time for some well-deserved bubbles! #bettertogether #womensmarch #loveislove.”

The photo — which has gotten more than 2,400 likes on Twitter — is getting plenty of love on social media. Fans reached out to Lush with messages of overwhelming support for the campaign.

“We believe in the right to love for everyone, so of course we wanted to share two lovely Lushies,” the brand explained on Twitter.
The company is using two men for its Valentine’s Day promos as well.

Lush can now consider itself among the ranks of brands like L’Oreal and CoverGirl who are spearheading the movement for gender and sexuality inclusivity in beauty.
As a Valentine’s Day message, Lush has given us a powerful reminder that we can upend “traditional” holiday values. Love is love, and heart bath bombs are heart bath bombs, period.
