M&M's Brand New Flagship Store Will Be Two Stories And Absolutely Massive
Going through the M&M's store is basically a tourist must-do in Times Square. Hey, it's pretty cool in there, and it smells like chocolate so I'm not complaining! The brand has seen so much success in their already existing locations that they're set to open a flagship M&M's retail store by the end of the year.
The new M&M's store will be located in the Mall of America in Minneapolis. According to a press release, the company wanted to add a location in the midwest because there isn't one there yet. This new store will be similar to the M&M's stores in New York, Orlando, and Las Vegas, but with an added midwestern flare.
Like the other stores, the flagship will have the wall of chocolate and life-sized characters, but will also feature merchandise and experiences that will be exclusive to the Mall of America. Director of Global Retail at Mars Retail Group, Patrick McIntyre, said in a press release that M&M's partnering with the Mall of America was a no brainer.
"Mall of America is a best in class experiential retail shopping center and a natural partner to help us realize our vision to delight people everywhere with immersive experiences," McIntyre said. "We're excited to layer in even more fun to what is one of the most fun one-stop shopping and entertainment destinations in the world."
The store is on track to open by the end of the year, likely right before the holiday season and is one of three new experiential M&M's stores on track to open in the next two years. Now our midwestern pals can enjoy the colorful candy chaos that is an M&M's store. I'm happy for y'all!
