Madonna Hospitalized After 'Serious' Health Complication

Madonna, 64, was rushed to a New York City hospital over the weekend.

According to Page Six, the hit maker was allegedly found unresponsive before being taken to the hospital on Saturday, June 24. It's said she was intubated for potentially one night before it was removed.

Guy Oseary, the Evita star's longtime manager, confirmed the artist's health complication in a social media statement on Wednesday, June 28, sharing that the Queen of Pop developed "a serious bacterial infection which lead [sic] to a several day stay in the ICU."

"Her health is improving, however she is under medical care," the Instagram message continued. "A full recovery is expected."

He further shared, "At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."

Parade has reached out to Madonna's reps for additional comment and has not heard back.

The entertainer's Celebration Tour was supposed to begin July 15 in Vancouver, Canada, A postponement date has not yet been scheduled.

Following the Instagram announcement made by her team, the "Material Girl" singer quickly began receiving an outpouring of support from her friends and fans, who left comments under the post wishing for a speedy recovery.

Actress Zooey Deschanel was among the celebrities who sent the singer a message, writing, "Hope she feels better very soon!"

"Omg sending her love and healing light! ??" added dancer Frankie James Grande, who is also the brother to pop star Ariana Grande.

"Sending love her way ??" filmmaker Xavier Dolan chimed in.
