This Magazine Just Hired Its First Taco Editor Whose Job Is To Live And Breathe All Things Tacos
There are some pretty cool jobs out there. You can get paid to eat chocolate, watch Netflix, shop, or even write about food (hi yes, this was me bragging!) but one of the coolest jobs out there was just filled and you're about to be seriously jealous. Texas Monthly recently announced that it hired its first Taco Editor with some seriously amazing job perks.
If you've ever been to Texas, you know that they take their tacos very seriously (as they should!) so it makes sense that Texas Monthly hired food writer José R. Ralat to be Taco Editor at the publication...so it will be his job to eat delicious tacos.
José will get to taste test different tacos, write about taco trends, interview taco makers, and just generally live and breathe all things tacos. It's a dream job for anyone who loves tacos. That's everyone, if you haven't noticed. And let me tell you, José is seriously qualified for this job. He has run the Taco Trail blog for years where he tried out and wrote about different tacos and even co-founded the Taco Libre taco and music festival in Dallas.
If you interested, Texas Monthly seems like a pretty good place to be if you want to be devoted to a certain type of beloved Texas food. The publication hired a barbecue editor in 2013 whose job it is to write all about the practice of smoking meat and who presumably eats a lot of it too. Moral of the story? You can truly make a career out of doing what you love: eating delicious food.
