Martha Stewart Likes to Shop For Plants at Home Depot

"Stephen and I are neighbors in Bedford, New York, where he has a gorgeous house that's been featured in magazines.. and I have a barn," Martha Stewart joked. She and the designer Stephen Sills were chatting at the American Federation of Arts's Spring Luncheon, held in New York's Metropolitan Club earlier this week, to mark the organization's 110th anniversary and preview its upcoming year. (The AFA focuses on exposing the public eye to the visual arts, helping to host and spread exhibitions throughout the U.S.) As the keynote speakers in conversation, Sills and Stewart discussed art and modern living. The two are friends dished casually about Sills's obsession with the artist Cy Twombly, how his appreciation of art has evolved over the years, and a shared love of buying plants at the Home Depot.
