Marvel Shows Off Amazing Spider-Man 2-Inspired Variant Covers

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for the PS5 is right around the corner, releasing just next week alongside the equally exciting Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Ahead of the game’s release, Marvel and Sony have teamed up to show off some absolutely incredible variant covers for upcoming Marvel comics, all of which are inspired by unlockable suits in the game.

All of the variant covers are pretty similar — each shows a drawing of a suit featured in the game against a fairly plain red (I assume, I’m colorblind) background. Still, even if they’re essentially just ads for a game, and even if they’re a bit plain, the suits are all fantastic, so I wouldn’t mind having them on my shelf.

All of these covers will be rolling out to store shelves throughout November and December, across a host of different series. You’ve got all the different Spider-Men series – Superior, Amazing, Miles Morales – and Venom, for a total of ten variant covers all up. Half of the suits are for Peter Parker in the game, while the other half are for Miles Morales, so there’s an even split.

Amazing Spider-Man #40 will go on sale on December 20, 2023.

Biomechanical Suit

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #12 will go on sale on November 29, 2023.

Agimat Suit

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #13 will go on sale on December 13, 2023.

Encoded Suit

Superior Spider-Man #2 will go on sale on December 20, 2023.

Tokusatsu Suit

Venom #28 will go on sale on December 6, 2023.

Red Spectre Suit
