Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has become the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios title ever. Like, ever.
The PS5 game sold 2.5 million copies in its first 24 hours of release, according to developer Insomniac.
Released last week, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been a big hit with critics too, with the game scoring a rating of 91 on Metacritic. Speaking of sales, the physical edition of the game outsold Super Mario Bros Wonder in the UK.

If you’re wondering what PlayStation Studios' games its success is being measured against, it sold better in its first day than any titles in the Uncharted or The Last of Us franchises.
Tongues are already wagging about a sequel - or more accurately - a spin-off, possibly starring big bad Venom. That certainly seems increasingly likely now we're getting a bigger picture of its success.
Insomniac might well be celebrating its sales, but it's still working on parts of the game - including bashing out a quick fix for this embarrassing Cuban flag mix-up.
