McDonald's Restaurant Travels Back in Time to 1982—See the Photos
McDonald's is taking us back to simpler times!
The famed fast food eatery decorated one of its restaurant locations to look reminiscent to how it did in 1982, in honor of Marvel’s upcoming second season of Loki, which is set to drop on October 6 on Disney+.
The New York-located shop is outfitted with props from the show and authentic McDonald’s decor from the early '80s, fusing inspiration from both to create an experience that is sure to give fans a blast from the past.
In addition to throwback posters, it features hanging mosaic lamps, clunky, antiquated cash registers, and more—but the journey to decades-past will only be available to take for a short time only.

For just three days, Aug. 30–Sept. 1, fans can visit the retro spot, located at 6620 Bay Parkway in Brooklyn. In order to enter, customers walk through the series-inspired Time Variance Authority (TVA) time door. From there, visitors will notice the entire space decked out in vintage items, from resurfaced McDonald’s ads and menu boards, to classic McDonaldland character murals, and beyond.

Current employees of the 1940-founded burger chain will even add to the vintage charm, as they'll be outfitted in 1982-inspired uniforms featuring bold red Ronald McDonald-themed stripes (because the iconic mascot is a clown, after all).
Items from Loki can also be seen as part of the location’s limited-time decor, including a vintage TV set and costumes. Last month, the brand even debuted a twist on its sweet ‘n sour sauce packaging in honor of McDonald’s being featured in the upcoming season of the sci-fi action series.
