McRib Is Making a Comeback—When To Expect Its Triumphant Return

McDonald's has some exciting news for fans this week: the McRib is making a comeback!
After breaking hearts last November with the announcement that the McRib would be saying farewell, the popular sandwich is plotting a triumphant return.
The news was confirmed to TODAY.com this week, after a viral food-finding social media account, Snackolator, sparked rumors about the McRib coming back last month.
"Update from McDonald's," the Instagram account shared in a post on Sept. 26, while copying a statement from the fast food chain itself that read, "It turns out not everyone was ready to say goodbye to the McRib after last year’s Farewell Tour."
"While it won’t be available nationwide, some lucky fans may find their favorite elusive saucy sandwich at their local McDonald’s restaurants this November," the McDonald's statement continued.
Noting that the McRib will only be available in "participating markets," the statement insists that the tasty fan-favorite sandwich is expected to be back for a limited time by mid-November.
"Much like other limited items recently (Cookies and Creme pie, Spicy McNuggets, etc) this will not be in every market of the country, but should make a lot of fans happy," the Snackolator post continued. "I'm still confused how a Farewell Tour can be just a year, but I don't think fans are going to care all that much."
Fans were clearly having a strong reaction to the news, including one person who called the announcement the "Best news I’ve heard all day!"
"You better believe it the best item McDonald’s has on their menu ????????" someone else wrote.
"It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!??????" another user quipped.
