Meals on wheels: Help us find the Best Food Truck in Central Massachusetts. Reader poll
Food trucks, when the driver and the cook are often the same person, are no longer limited to side-of-the-roads plots.
The mobile kitchens have had an increased presence in recent years, at fairs, concerts and ballgames. Some communities have weekly food truck events.
From tacos to grilled cheese sandwiches, the menu of food trucks in Central Mass. is an expansive one. And like restaurants, foodies have their favorites.
In our latest reader poll, we're in search of the Best Food Truck in Central Massachusetts. We'll let the experts, our readers, have the final say.
Like our earlier polls, in which we sought readers' take on pizza and tacos, among other items, we'll take a bracket approach, must like March Madness college basketball. Based on reader nominations, we'll publish a list of food trucks and put the matchups to a vote. And then we'll keep narrowing the field in half until we have a winner.
It's an informal poll, unscientific, intended as fun, a departure from the sometimes edgy tone of the internet.
We'll keep you posted every step of the way until a winner is declared.
Drop us an email with your nominations, to [email protected], using the subject line "Best Food Truck." Feel free to leave a nomination on our Facebook post.
The poll is shaped after our earlier reader polls on Best Taco Spot, Best Chinese Restaurant, Best Breakfast, Best Ice Cream and Best Pizza.
The first round of voting begins at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10.
