Megan Thee Stallion Definitively Claims Tory Lanez Shot Her: “Stop Lying”
Megan Thee Stallion filmed an Instagram Live claiming that Tory Lanez shot her.
Megan accused Tory of lying about the shooting, saying, “Why lie? I don’t understand.”
Megan Thee Stallion definitively accused Tory Lanez of being the person who shot her in the foot at a house party, and publicly claimed he lied about the incident. According to Entertainment Tonight and People, Megan said Tory shot her during an Instagram Live Thursday night, saying, “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and shit. Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand. I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you’re dragging it.”
As a reminder, Megan attended a house party with Kylie Jenner and Tory Lanez on July 12, where she and Tory allegedly got into an argument. In the early hours of July 13, Tory (who's real name is Daystar Peterson) was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, while reports circulated that Megan had cut her foot and was taken to the hospital. He posted his $35,000 bail and was released later that day and is scheduled to appear in court in October, according to People. The L.A. District Attorney's office announced earlier this week that they are reviewing Lanez's case, the LA Times reported.
Megan spoke out on Instagram, saying, “On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.”

She later told fans, “I don’t understand. I just felt very betrayed by a friend. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared. But the one thing that y’all need to know about me is, I’m not a person who is able to be down for a long time.…I don’t like to be victimized. I don’t like to feel like, Oh my god, Megan, something’s wrong. I like to be upbeat. I like to be happy.”
