Meghan Markle Makes Rare Public Appearance For London Series
Meghan Markle is taking a break from maternity leave this weekend, joining Prince Harry at his events on Saturday. The royal couple met with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees baseball teams at their clubhouses for the MLB London Series. Both teams gave the new parents custom onesies for their new baby boy, Archie.
The rest of the days plans included a reception with former Invictus players and watching the London Series game at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The MLB official Twitter account posted photos of the teams meeting Meghan and Harry writing, “Baseball royalty.”
This is only Meghan’s third appearance since giving birth to Archie on May 6, and her second public appearance. Shortly after his birth, the couple held a small photo op for the press where they briefly discussed being new parents.
“I have the two best guys in the world,” Meghan told reporters.
Meghan made her first public appearance during the annual Trooping the Colour celebration earlier this month. Meghan joined her husband for the event, where she waved to fans as she rode in a carriage with him, Kate Middleton, and Camilla Bowles. She then joined the rest of the royal family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
On Saturday, Meghan kept her look casual in a black A-line dress cinched at the waist with a sleek belt and a pair of black flats.
Meghan continues to ease back into public life after the birth of Archie. Earlier this week, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Meghan also plans to support her friend Serena Williams at Wimbledon next month.
