Meghan Markle Said That Her Twenties Were "Brutal" and a "Constant Battle"

Even though Meghan Markle is currently a famous duchess who has fascinated the world and literally married a prince, her life wasn't always as perfect as it seems to be now. In an old post from her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, Meghan opened up about how hard her twenties were for her.
Express reports that in the now-deleted post Meghan shared why her twenties were "brutal." She wrote:
I am 33 years old today. And I am happy. And I say that so plainly because, well…it takes time. To be happy. To figure out how to be kind to yourself. To not just choose that happiness, but to feel it...My 20s were brutal – a constant battle with myself, judging my weight, my style, my desire to be as cool/as hip/as smart/as 'whatever' as everyone else.
Meghan also wrote that as she got older, she learned that simply being herself is "enough," and urged readers to find their own happiness.
Clearly things worked out for her, and anyone who made her feel less-than in her twenties is probably kicking themselves now because they totally blew their chance at getting an invite to her royal wedding. Oh well!
