Meghan Trainor reveals she 'never wore a thong' in new podcast episode: 'I love me a granny panty'

Meghan Trainor is getting personal about her underwear preferences.

In an episode of her podcast Workin' On It, which she co-hosts with her brother Ryan Trainor, the singer revealed that she's a big fan of Victoria's Secret's "granny panties" and wears them instead of thongs.

"I love me a granny panty. I cannot wear thongs, I’m such a loser," she said in conversation with guest Remi Bader. "Never wore a thong. I tried when I was younger and I hated it. I was like this is literally my butthole."

Meghan joked about how it was a "big reveal" that she only wears the full coverage underwear, although she pointed out that you might possibly see her underwear lines when she hits the gym. "When I record my workout videos when my trainer’s recording me we’re always like, 'granny panties,'" she said. "Like it’s on my Instagram."

The 28-year-old went on to recall the one time she wore a thong bodysuit for PRIDE 2019.

"I’ve never felt more sexy in my life!" she wrote in an Instagram caption about the one-piece.

"She was hot," she said in the episode, referring to her younger self. "I revealed a lot that day."

Still, she added that the outfit "was so uncomfortable."

For the time being, however, Meghan still wears maternity underwear from when she gave birth to her son Riley back in February 2021.

"They’re f***ing large and they hug me," she said.

It isn't the first time that Trainor has hilariously revealed personal details, after having to "clear things up" about her side-by-side toilets with husband Daryl Sabara after her brother Ryan mentioned the singer's unique bathroom on another podcast.

"We pooped ONCE together and we laughed and said never again," she tweeted. "WE SOULMATES. And i legit miss him when I’m away from him."
