Melissa Gilbert is 'in love' with this hydrating, illuminating balm by makeup maven Bobbi Brown
'It gives such a beautiful glow,' the 59-year-old actress said.
Are you ready for a shocker? 2024 marks 50 years (!) since the story of Little House on the Prairie leaped out of its books and onto our television screens. Yep, a half-century ago we met Melissa Gilbert as 9-year-old Laura Ingalls. Now, at 59, Gilbert is just as darling as she was bounding down the hills of Walnut Grove, Minnesota. One of the things she uses to maintain her girlish glow? This Miracle Balm from Jones Road.
Created by cosmetics maven Bobbi Brown, you can choose from 10 different shades of Miracle Balm.
There are big plans this month to celebrate Little House — we're talking about a three-day festival that includes a cast reunion — and while we're excited to see what everyone is doing now, what we really can't get over is how great Melissa Gilbert looks. She is one of the few ladies who grew up in Hollywood who is anti anti-aging. It's a very refreshing sentiment.
"It makes me crazy to say 'anti-aging,' because that would mean dead. You know, we're all aging from the moment we're born, and you can stay healthy, stay hydrated and do good things for the body, but fighting something that's inevitable is a losing battle," she said in an interview with USA Today.
While fillers and botox are a favorite among many women of a certain age, there's one product that she relies on.
"[I am] in love with Jones Road Miracle Balm," she said. "It gives such a beautiful glow."
It's no surprise that she loves it — Jones Road is a Bobbi Brown project that she started in 2020 to blur the line between skincare and makeup. It's also a favorite brand among other celebs like Brooke Shields who uses the Jones Road Concealer Pencil.
Miracle Balm combines moisturizing elements like castor oil and beeswax with light-reflecting ingredients so you can skip foundation and still look great. You can get the neutral shade, Au Naturel, to brighten your complexion, or you can choose another one of the ten shades offered.
