Melissa McCarthy's Daughter Is All Grown Up at 'Little Mermaid' Premiere
It was a family affair at the premiere of the live-action The Little Mermaid.
Melissa McCarthy's daughter, 16-year-old Vivian Falcone, accompanied her parents, McCarthy and Ben Falcone, to the event, posing for photos on the blue carpet along the way.
The teenager looked all grown up in a tiered ruffle black dress with a lace-up corset around the waist, perfectly matching her father's black suit and sparkling black shirt.
McCarthy embodied the deep blue ocean in a gorgeous blue dress with fringe and silk gloves with oversized ruffles.
The trio–sans the couple's other daughter, Georgette Falcone, 13–were attending the premiere of Disney's The Little Mermaid on May 8, in which McCarthy plays the villainous Ursula.
Speaking about the new movie at the premiere, McCarthy told Entertainment Tonight that this version of The Little Mermaid feels more "modern."
She said, "I think that for me there's something special about this one. If we haven't been a parent, we've all had parents. We've all wrestled with what that is."
"We've all longed to figure out what's the life I want, which is really the key story that in this, I feel like it's more modern than it was in the original, just in terms of really carving out the life you choose to have for yourself," McCarthy went on.
The star also shared what her daughters first thought when she told them she would be playing Ursula: "I think they were a little like, 'What does that mean?... You're gonna be a cartoon?' and I was like, 'No, it's gonna be me.' And they're like, 'What does that mean?' and I was like, 'We're gonna remake it.'"
While McCarthy's daughters don't have a role in The Little Mermaid, they've both already dipped their toes into the acting world. Vivian previously portrayed a younger version of her mother's characters in The Boss in 2016 and Thunder Force in 2021.
