How can you get to the New Mexico State Fair?

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – From September 5 to 15, the New Mexico State Fair will be taking place in Albuquerque.

If you’re planning on going, alone or with the family, you might want to check out your options for arriving at the fair. There are multiple ways to get there, like driving, biking, or taking public transportation.

Details about your options can be found below.

Driving:

  • Officials suggest taking I-40 and exiting at San Mateo or Louisiana. The address of the State Fair is 300 San Pedro NE (Albuquerque, NM 87108).

  • Only right-hand turns will be able to enter the fairgrounds to park.

Biking:

  • If you’re looking for a little bit of exercise, there’s a bike map featured on the fair’s website. Entry for bikes will be at Gate 4, and valets are available to secure bikes while visitors enjoy the fair. Check out more information here.

Park and Ride, other public transport:

  • Park and Ride services from Coronado Center, Saturday (2 p.m. – 9 p.m., return rides until midnight), Sunday 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10.

  • There is a bus stop at Louisiana and Lomas if you’d like to try to take the 766 Red Line to the area.
