New Mexico State Fair announces official beer for 2024
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico State Fair and Ex Novo Brewing announced the official beer of the 2024 state fair on Wednesday. Ex Novo’s new Barrel Racer Blonde will be on tap at the fair in September and at retailers across the state starting Aug. 6.
“With the high standard set by Dusty Spur last year, we knew we had to step up our game and our partners at Ex Novo met the challenge,” said Fair general manager Dan Mourning in a press release. “New Mexico has a strong craft beer industry and what better way to show our appreciation for it than brewing our own State Fair beer.”

Barrel Racer Blonde was brewed with American and German noble hops. It will also be served at Ex Novo Brewing, 4895 Corrales Road in Corrales.
“That this is the second consecutive year of our partnership is just that extra layer of excitement,” said Ex Novo founder Joel Gregory. “Being from New Mexico, growing up here and seeing our brands work together so well is humbling.”
The New Mexico State Fair is scheduled for Sept. 5-15.
