You Might Have Missed This Small Clue That Meghan Markle Has Officially Embraced British Life
Meghan Markle may still technically be an American citizen, but this week, she's embracing her new British identity in a major way. In the foreward for Together, a new charity cookbook, which will raise money for the Hubb Community Kitchen, Meghan uses traditional British English spellings-extra 'u's and all-as opposed to conventional American spellings.
Take this section, for example:
"In January 2018, as I was settling in to my new home of London, it was important to me to get to know organisations working in the local community."
"Organisations" is the British spelling of "organizations" in the States.

Similarly, here, Meghan uses the British spelling of "favorite."
"One of my own favourite meals is collard greens, black-eyed peas and cornbread - a meal I would look forward to throughout my childhood: the smell of yellow onions simmering amongst a slow-cooked pot of greens from my grandma's back garden; the earthy texture of peas; and a golden loaf of cornbread puff-puffing away to a browned peak in the warmth of the oven."

Meghan has been privately working with the women at the Hubb Community Kitchen for months. According to Kensington Palace, Hubb started following the tragic Grenfell Tower fire when "a group of women gathered in a communal kitchen at the Al Manaar Centre in West London, where they could prepare fresh food for their families, friends and neighbours."
The hope is that profits of the Together cookbook will allow the kitchen to stay open seven days a week, and in order to meet that goal, they need to sell roughly 50,000 copies. Want to help?
