Miley & Liam Planned to Get Married in Malibu Before Wildfires Destroyed Their Home

Right before Christmas, on December 23, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got married in their home in Franklin, Tennessee.
Cyrus shared photos and videos of the secret wedding on Instagram, revealing that she wore a Vivienne Westwood gown for the big day.
Recently, the home Cyrus and Hemsworth shared in Malibu burned down. After losing their house, Cyrus revealed on The Howard Stern Show that she now refers to Hemsworth as her "survival partner," on account of the fact that he rescued all of their animals from the fire. She said, "He got all the animals out in his truck, he put 2 pigs in crates which I'm telling you is so hard."
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's surprise wedding looked nothing short of magical.
In a series of Instagram posts, the "Wrecking Ball" singer revealed that she married longtime love, Hemsworth, at their home in Franklin, Tennessee, right before Christmas this year. But according to People, Cyrus and Hemsworth originally planned to get married at their Malibu home, before it was tragically destroyed in the California Wildfires.
A source recently told People, "They had planned to get married in Malibu over the holidays when all of their families were together. After their Malibu house didn’t make the fire, they have been living at Miley’s Tennessee house."
As such, their wedding took place there instead, and it looked every bit as magical as you might expect:
Understandably, Cyrus and Hemsworth were both shocked to lose their home in Malibu. a source revealed to People that "Malibu was their sanctuary and is very special to them. They fell in love again there and were both devastated to lose their home."
Despite their huge loss, the newlyweds have something major to celebrate now that they're a married couple.
