Mom says thief stole her daughter's Christmas present right off her doorstep: 'It just broke my whole Christmas spirit'
A Texas mom’s Christmas surprise for her 3-year-old daughter has been spoiled after a thief swiped the dollhouse she had ordered for the little girl, Lubbock’s KLBK News reports.
D’Moirae Scott of Lubbock told the news station that she had ordered the wooden dollhouse online after seeing how excited her daughter was with a cardboard dollhouse she made at school. However, after receiving a notification that the dollhouse had been delivered, Scott said the package was missing from her doorstep. She now hopes that the thief responsible will return the prized gift.
“Really just think about what you’re doing before you do it,” she said of the theft. “Think about who you’re affecting. Think about who you’re stealing from. You don’t know who’s the recipient on the other end of that. Take into account, this is the holidays for everybody not just you.”
She added that the situation “broke my heart” and “broke my whole Christmas spirit.”
“I just want to give her the world and, you know, people try to stand in the way of that,” she said.
