Monday at the Wayne County Fair - A picture-perfect look around the grounds

Swine, poultry, mini dairy showers, Brown Swiss and Guernsey dairy cows, high school bands and tractors took center stage at the Wayne County Fair on Monday.

Again the sun hovered brightly over the fairgrounds, with temperatures in the low 70s. Expect the low 80s Tuesday and mid-80s Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday highlights include goat, dairy, flower, rabbit and sheep shows along with grantstand entertainment from Jeff Foxworty.

Tuesday schedule of events

8 a.m.: Junior market and Pee Wee Swine showmanship, Event Center

8 a.m.: Junior dairy goat show, show arena

9 a.m.: Junior dairy show, Coliseum

9 a.m.: Junior horse show, riding arenna

Noon: Pari-Mutuel wagering harness racing

Noon: Open flower show, Buss Hall

2 p.m.: Rabbit and poultry fun shows, show arena

4 p.m.: Junior breeding sheep show, show arena

5 p.m.: Junior dairy steers, dairy feeder calves and showmanship, Coliseum

8 p.m.: Jeff Foxworthy, grandstand

8 a.m.: Junior pygmy goat show, show arenna

8:30 a.m.: Quilts of Honor, Event Center

9 a.m.: Junior horse show, horse arena
