Morgan Wallen is preparing to take a new step in his career that he says is “inspired” by his fans.

The country music star announced earlier this week that he is getting into the restaurant business. The new career venture, which will be called This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen, is expected to open this summer in downtown Nashville, Tenn.

The “Whiskey Glasses” singer shared a short preview video in a Feb. 15 Instagram post of what appeared to be the restaurant under construction. The video was paired with audio from “This Bar,” a song that Wallen, 30, released on his 2021 double album Dangerous.

Fans of the “One Thing at a Time” singer appeared thrilled by the announcement, with some predicting, "Every other bar is about to be empty.”

“Can’t wait to forget my credit card there,” one fan joked on Instagram.

Others began tagging their friends in Wallen’s Instagram announcement, writing that they’ll be going “back to Nashville this summer” and are “gonna have to make plans for this one.”

Wallen told Us Weekly that his lyrics about “finding myself in ‘this bar’” helped him settle on a name for his latest project. The restaurant “will hold true to everything I love and is inspired by my fans and the way they have embraced me and my music,” he told the magazine.

Wallen is partnering with TC Restaurant Group to open the restaurant on Lower Broadway, according to Us Weekly. It will reportedly occupy 30,000 square feet and have three stages for live music and six bars, along with an open-air rooftop.

The venue has a listed address on its Facebook page that is just off the city’s famous music-filled street along 4th Avenue North.

The “Last Night” singer is just the latest country artist to launch a restaurant in collaboration with TC Restaurant Group. The company also has Nashville restaurant partnerships with Luke Bryan, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean.

Exactly when Wallen’s restaurant will open is not yet known. In the meantime, the singer will be busy preparing and performing for his ongoing One Night at a Time tour, which resumes in the U.S. in April and will continue through early August.
