'Mortified' Blake Lively Apologizes for Trolling Kate Middleton Photoshop

Blake Lively is walking back her latest antics on social media, which appeared to take aim at Kate Middleton over the princess' viral photoshop fail.
The Gossip Girl alum is known for frequently showcasing her sarcastic sense of humor online, which she often uses to troll husband Ryan Reynolds—but recently, she directed a teasing post toward the Princess of Wales amid the mystery and conspiracies about her wellbeing.
As royal fans now know, Middleton came forward on Friday, March 22, to share that she was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January. Following the emotional announcement made personally by the princess, 42, Lively took to her Instagram Story to express her regret for trolling the princess when something serious was happening behind the scenes.
"I'm sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this," Lively wrote in her post. "I made a silly post around the 'photoshop fails' frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today."
"I'm sorry," she added before concluding her post, "Sending love and well wishes to all, always. ??"
Lively, 36, shared a highly-edited photo of herself on Instagram last week while promoting her beverage line Betty Buzz. The blatantly photoshopped pic, which she joked she "just took today," was undoubtedly a jab at Middleton and the now-infamous Mother's Day photo with her and Prince William's kids that she later confirmed was altered.
But as #KateGate continued to spiral, the public was finally given a reason for Middletons' mysterious absence after the princess revealed the "huge shock" cancer diagnosis she received earlier this year.
Lively has since removed the initial post from her Instagram page, and the internet is now rallying around Middleton to show support for the difficult couple of months she must have had.
