In this moving video, 6 wellness experts speak out on the importance of gratitude
The holiday season can bring just as much stress as it can joy. For that reason, practicing gratitude, the act of being grateful and thankful, is a crucial part of keeping your spirits up and your priorities aligned.
Seemingly knowing that we need a gratitude reminder, Saje Natural Wellness, a company dedicated to creating 100 percent natural wellness products, recently released a video featuring six experts in the wellness field describing what gratitude means to them. The result embodies what the holiday season is truly about and proves the importance and impact of simple gratitude.
The participants include motivational speaker and recovering quadriplegic Mike Shaw, founder of Raw Beauty Talks Erin Treloar, founder of the New York Institute of Aromatherapy Amy Galper, integrative health coach Joanne Encarnacion, artist and creator of tribal markers Amir Magal, and founder of Mama Glow Latham Thomas. In the video, each participant elaborates on how the act of being grateful touches them personally and enhances their life.
“Gratitude is the simplest way for us to find love at a time when there is so much hate and destruction and fear in the world,” shares Treloar. Thomas offers that her definition of gratitude is “to look at everything you have and the things that you don’t have — and find peace.” At the halfway mark of the video, a message appears, “What they didn’t know was that we had a message of gratitude for them.”
Each expert then begins reading a surprise letter from one of their loved ones sharing their own feelings of gratitude. Each participant instantly lights up at seeing such meaningful words; some even shed tears of joy. An excerpt from Encarnacion’s letter read, “You’ve carried two children for me, and you’ve helped me raise them into two beautiful and strong girls.”
So here’s your reminder that gratitude can travel any distance, and that this holiday season it is the greatest gift we can both give and receive.
