"Mrs. Maisel's" Alex Borstein Just Rewore Her Wedding Dress from Marriage to Ex-Husband to the Emmys, FYI
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's Alex Bornstein, who took home the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award at the Emmys on Monday night, revealed to Glamour that the dress she wore to the event was actually her wedding gown from her marriage to her now ex-husband.
"This is my wedding dress," she confirmed on the carpet, before heading inside. "This is from 20 years ago. The marriage didn’t last but the dress did and I wanted to give it new life so now it’s my Emmys dress. That’s the truth."
Stone-cold, but also genius!
She looked amazing in the piece, which was a silky number with a V-neckline and flutter sleeves. It also had a matching jacket, which she took off just before accepting her award.
It truly fit in perfectly with the rest of the styles of the night, proving that fashion truly is cyclical.
According to People, Bornstein married Gilmore Girls actor Jackson Douglas in 1999 and divorced him in 2014, though it wasn't finalized until last year.
Way to give that gorgeous look new memories!
