Netflix's 'Tiger King' Star Carole Baskin Finally Has Her Own Instagram Account
Netflix's 'Tiger King' Star Carole Baskin Finally Has Her Own Instagram Account
When Tiger King debuted on Netflix in March 2020, practically everyone was obsessed with the true crime docuseries full of crazy twists and turns...and even wilder cast. The highlight of the show was definitely all the big-personality, exotic-animal-loving characters whose passion for wildlife (and profit) simply couldn't be contained. As soon as the binge-watching began, fans wanted to know everything about Joe Exotic, Jeff Lowe, and Carole Baskin.
Since the show's premiere, a lot has happened with the entire cast. But the biggest headline is that Carole Baskin is a new contestant on Dancing With the Stars this season. Fellow cast member and Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause shared a picture of them meeting for the first time on set. (And yes, it is just as iconic as you might think.)
Thankfully for all the super fans, the Tiger King cast's Instagrams are still totally public—yes, including Joe Exotic's account. Ready to investigate 'em all for new info? Here are all of the Tiger King stars' IG profiles, just waiting for you to cyberstalk and (hopefully) find the answers to your burning questions—including, of course, where all the cast members are now.
1) Carole Baskin
Sooo your girl Carole Baskin didn’t have a personal Instagram until July 2020. But thankfully, she finally has one aside from her Big Cat Rescue's IG. Her pride and joy is still going strong, though, according to BCR's website, the venue is closed due to concerns over COVID-19. Carole's personal account only has a little over 1,000 followers so far, but it's sure to gain many more when she makes her Dancing With the Starsdebut this fall.
As for the BRC account, it has over 130,000 followers, and a new exotic animal pic is shared on the feed pretty much every day, often with a punny caption.
2) Joe Exotic
Yep, the Tiger King himself has a pretty big Instagram following—more than than 447,000 and counting. Joe Exotic's account isn't verified (a.k.a., it's unclear if this is really him), buutttt it’s being constantly updated.
Before losing access to Instagram, the former zookeeper's feed was dedicated to posts bashing Jeff Lowe and others he was feuding with at the time. Now, whoever is managing his account is currently dedicating Joe Exotic's posts to help free him from prison and has been asking President Donald Trump to pardon him after claiming he was sexually assaulted.
3) Dillon Passage
Joe Exotic's fourth husband Dillon Passage has an Instagram that's pretty dang active. Worth noting: It appears the couple are still married, since he captioned a recent photo with Too Hot To Handle's Francesca Farago, "My man is still Joe." His last post of the two together was shared 20 weeks ago. Dillon also appears to be hitting the gym and taking vacations.
4) Doc Antle
How could anyone forget about Dr. Bhagavan Antle, a.k.a. Doc Antle? With more than 553,000 followers, his Instagram makes it seem like Doc's still living pretty large (FYI: his net worth is impressive). It's peppered with posts of his many exotic animals and his employees that help care for them. And it looks like his Myrtle Beach Safari is still open for business
After Tiger King premiered, he shared a post of him and his Myrtle Beach Safari staff criticizing the docuseries. "We are very disappointed that our facility was mentioned in the new Netflix series. We can only assume it is because Doc Antle has been such a high profile wildlife personality for so many decades that his association would create more buzz," the caption reads. "It is important to understand that this series is not a documentary; it’s sensationalized entertainment with paid participants. Tiger King is the bizarre story of Joe and Carole and their feud. These characters are not representative of experts in the wildlife sector or world class facilities like ours here in Myrtle Beach..." So, that's happening.
When it comes to who Doc keeps up with on the 'gram, he doesn't follow any of the workers from the G.W. Zoo, including Joe Exotic. That being said, he does follow fellow zookeeper Mario Tabraue.
5) Jeff & Lauren Lowe
Jeff and Lauren Lowe do not have verified Instagram accounts, although there are ones attributed to Jeff and Lauren
that do look legit. Both accounts were recently created in June 2020. On the professional front, things don’t look too good for the couple who had planned to open a new zoo at the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park this summer. According to TMZ, the U.S. Department of Agriculture took away Jeff Lowe’s exhibitor license for the zoo due to animals at the zoo not getting proper veterinary care for years.
6) Mario Tabraue
In the Tiger King doc, Mario was portrayed as *basically* the inspo for Scarface. Now, he's a pretty active Instagrammer on both his personal account and the account for his company, the Zoological Wildlife Foundation of Miami (note: ZWF has more than a million followers).
Also, if you're a fan of the totally adorable chimpanzee Limbani (his Instagram videos go viral all the time), you should know that he lives at Mario's zoo in Miami, too. Mario only follows 32 people on the 'gram and sadly, none of them are his fellow Tiger King interviewees. (Guess no one in the big cat community heard of a follow back?)
7) Rick Kirkham
Apparently, according to his Instagram posts that date back to 2017, Joe Exotic's former reality TV show producer has been living in...Norway? He's not very ~active~ on IG (his account only has, like, 11 pics), and it's not verified, so there's no way to tell if this is *officially* Rick. He's also been pretty quiet about the Tiger King series and doesn't follow any of the people he worked with back then, either.
8) JP Wilson
Remember that 12-year-old kid that helped Joe Exotic learn magic tricks for his animal shows? Well, his name is JP Wilson and he's all grown up—and all over Instagram. Apparently, he's still a big Joe supporter, too. In a post about the show he wrote that the former zookeeper is "a great person being framed through many narratives of fake news and lies, the media loves a great story and he definitely has said enough things for them to frame him in such a negative way. " Well, okay, then!
It only has about 1,000 followers, though...
