Newly single Pamela Anderson wears low-cut dress in new photo: 'Don't let the world define what empowered looks like'
A day after announcing her split from her husband of less than two weeks, Jon Peters, Pamela Anderson posted a racy new photo along with a defiant message defining what empowerment means to her.
“There is no rule book that defines how empowered women have to look,” she captioned the photo on Twitter. “For someone it might be their resilience, for some it might be their favorite bright red lipstick, for some it might be crushing it at their dream job and for some it might just be existing peacefully.
“Don’t let the world define what empowered looks like, because empowered looks just like YOU,” she added.
The sexy photo Anderson chose to accompany that message shows her walking along the beach, with tousled hair and a low-cut outfit putting her famous cleavage on display.

So
all you brilliant women out there,

looks just like YOU.— Pamela Anderson (@pamfoundation) February 2, 2020
This is not the first time that Anderson has equated sex appeal with her own feelings of empowerment. In 2018, she told Us Weekly that her big break in Playboy in 1989 changed her life. “As a young girl, Playboy empowered me. It really saved my life,” she told Us, referencing the sexual abuse she experienced as a child. “I felt very trapped inside and needed to free myself.”
In 2017, she also called a sexy photo shoot for the luxury lingerie company Coco de Mer empowering, saying, “You can’t help but feel empowered and beautiful.”
As for her message this time around, some fans and followers have taken it to heart. One of her followers quoted Anderson and posted a picture of what makes her feel empowered: “bright red lipstick.”

Anderson also posted the same image of herself walking on the beach on Instagram, but altered the caption to something that felt more directly related to her recent breakup with Peters: “Love is a risk.”
On Saturday, 52-year-old Anderson made a statement to The Hollywood Reporter addressing her split from Peters.
"I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union,” she said. “We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
Peters has made no comment publicly since the split.
