Normani Doubles Down on Leather in Cropped Set and Sharp Pumps at the MTV VMAs
Normani arrived inslick style at the 2021 MTV VMAs in Brooklyn on Sunday night.
The musician hit the red carpet in a white leather set by Patrycja Pagas. Her ensemble featured a cropped jacket with bunched long sleeves and a sharp flared collar, as well as a cutout bodice and miniskirt. Her stylist, Kollin Carter, paired the set with Djula hoop earrings and rings for added glamour.

For shoes, Carter and Normani tapped Christian Louboutin for a matching pair of white leather pumps. The Kate style featured sharp pointed toes, as well as glossy uppers and stiletto heels totaling 3.94-inches in height. When paired with the Pagas set, the shoes created a monochrome look that was both modern and futuristic. Normani’s pumps currently retail for $745 on ChristianLouboutin.com.

Normani didn’t just make a statement on the MTV VMAs red carpet. During the event, she also took the stage to perform her new song “Wild Side” in a silver outfit with sneakers. The viral moment also included a cameo from singer Teyana Taylor, who Normani danced with to complete her performance. Her musical set was one of the evening’s highly anticipated performances, following the 2019 performance of her hit song “Motivation.”

When it comes to shoes, pointed-toe pumps and sneakers — as seen at the VMAs — are two of Normani’s go-to styles. The former Fifth Harmony member often attends events in pumps by a range of top designers, including Le Silla and Jessica Rich. Strappy sandals are also a popular shoe for the singer, who can be spotted in pairs by Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and DSquared2. When off-duty, she can be seen in neutral-toned sneakers by Puma and Vans.
