Offset Explains Why He Accused Wife Cardi B of Cheating
Offset is setting the record straight over a month after accusing wife Cardi B of cheating on him.
The Migos member appeared on Angela Yee's podcast Way Up with Yee, where he was asked about his allegations of infidelities against the "WAP" artist.
"To be honest with you—that's my wife, I love her to death. We be going back and forth and if you got a New York woman, you know she's pit bull at the mouth," he said.
The rapper then explained what led to his since-deleted Instagram Story accusing Cardi B of cheating. "I was really lit that night," he noted. "I had a little Casamigos [Tequila] here and there. I was lit and then we going back and forth and I'm like, 'Watch this.'"
He added, "She got a crazy mind but I love my wife at the end of the day and she crazy man."
Yee responded to Offset's comments about his wife, noting, "You might be crazy too." Offset admitted, "I'm crazy but…we're crazy for each other."
The podcast host then asked Offset if he's going to release a statement clarifying the situation, or if he thought that quickly deleting his Instagram Story was enough.
Offset didn't think it was worth speaking out about it more, saying, "The delete is enough, because at the end of the day, them people don't be really knowing what's going on with us for real."
He elaborated further, noting, "They always attacking—like, it'll be straight lies or something and to be honest, I hate the fact that every time she have issues with somebody else, [the fans are] bringing me up and then it'd be like my past would be covering up everything I did. All this time, I ain't did nothing."
Offset offered an example, explaining, "It'd be my past, like, 'Oh he cheated, cheated, cheated, cheated. But it's like, that should be unfair to me because I be working hard. I don't—I haven't done anything. I support my wife."
On June 26, following the BET Awards, Offset wrote on his Instagram Story, "My wife f–ked a n— on me gang yall n—as know how I come." He deleted it shortly after posting.
Cardi B defended herself on Twitter Spaces, denying her husband's claims: "First of all, let me say, you can't accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me, y'all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!"
The "Up" rapper said her husband was "spiraling and thinking s--t." She added, "If I was giving this p---y to anybody, it would be out. I'm not just anybody. Can't f--k me no regular degular schmegular because they gonna tell the world and I can't f--k nobody in the industry 'cause they gonna tell too."
