Food line bearing Toby Keith’s name launches

NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) – Iconic entertainer Toby Keith’s legacy is being honored with the launch of Toby Keith’s Premium, a high-quality USA-sourced food brand.

As the new products roll out this week, CEO Winston Tucker seeks to ensure Keith’s legacy flourishes as he and Keith became friends over fishing and food. According to a company news release, Keith was working towards the endeavor prior to his untimely passing.

“He didn’t like farm-raised catfish,” Tucker says. “His exact words, in fact, were, ‘I don’t want any of those farm-raised catfish that taste like mud.’ Quality was his first priority.” Tucker says, its blue catfish will be the first to retail in volume and that’s only the beginning.

Toby Keith’s Premium is set to offer up the following food interests:

  • Blue Catfish in chunks and fillets with various types of breading

  • Smash Burgers

  • Chicken

  • Beef Big Dogs

  • Sauces

  • Double-wall stainless steel Big Daddy Cups

“Toby loves hot dogs, but he’d say, ‘I don’t want ’em with the throw-away beef and pork parts and all those additives.’ So we created the Big Dog, which is a 3.5-inch round like fried bologna that tastes more like a hot dog and fits on a hamburger bun. Nothing but real beef and chicken breast. And you gotta have something to wash them down with, so we partnered with Grizzly Cooler company for a highest quality, red, stainless, insulated Big Daddy cup.”

According to Tucker, the product line grew from there with all products sourced from the USA just how Toby Keith would expect.
