Olivia Dunne Stuns Fans With Previously Unseen ‘SI Swim’ Photos
Photographer Ben Watts shared stunning behind-the-scenes photos of LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne’s SI Swim cover shoot.
Watts photographed the superstar, currently the highest-paid female college athlete in the country, earlier this year on the beaches of Puerto Rico. On Tuesday, he took to Instagram to show off the previously unseen snaps of Dunne.
The 21-year-old phenom can be seen wading in the surf and lounging in the sand, whilst decked out in a dark green bikini featuring a number of shoulder pads and cut-outs. SI notes the outfit was “loosely inspired by a modern-day Wednesday Addams.”
“When people look at my Sports Illustrated photos, I want them to take away that you can have the best of both worlds—and you can be a strong independent woman while doing it all,” Dunne said of the hopes she has for her SI Swimsuit feature. “You can be an athlete, you can be in school, and you can do modeling. There’s a lot of young girls that look up to me and I feel like a lot of young girls also follow Sports Illustrated. So both of our brands align because we want to inspire the younger generation.”
Dunne’s savvy business acumen has taken the industry by storm. At her young age, she’s already accrued seven figures in NIL deals and launched The Livvy Fund, which endeavors to help fellow female athletes. She recently sat down with Forbes to discuss her evolving brand. "I will say it's a little bit of everything," she admitted. "It's my lifestyle. It's fashion, it's fitness, it's friends and fun."
