The One Item Costco Shoppers Say You 'Can't Leave the Store Without'
No stranger to the ready-made meals of your dreams, Costco has a long-standing track record of supplying its dedicated members with a delicious variety of pre-made foods worth bragging about. The popular bulk warehouse club basically makes it their bread and butter to offer incredible deals on a slew of different household items, but where the retail giant truly shines is in its pre-made meals.
Whether it be the Caprese Salad that works as a great dinner shortcut or the Chicken and Swiss Cranberry Cream Cheese Rollers that employees “eat almost everyday,” it's no secret that Costco certainly has the goods. And now, another ready-made meal has been garnering loads of attention online, and it's an appetizer that has shoppers begging the question, “Why is it so good?”
Costco’s Shrimp Cocktail Tray is the appetizer of the hour and it comes with lemon wedges and a cup of cocktail sauce in tow, retailing for $8.99 per pound. The ready-made appetizer generally comes in a package weighing anywhere between 1.5- to 1.75-pounds, however, prices are subject to change based on location, of course. And if you are a membership holder and a self-proclaimed fan of cocktail shrimp, this is one deal worth licking your lips over.

In response to a post shared to the popular Costco subreddit regarding the appetizer selection, one shopper said, “As a new member, my girlfriend and I have decided this is our ‘every Costco trip’ treat.” They continued, “It’s one of our favorite snacks and it is GREAT quality.”
In case you need a little arm twist upon your next visit to the beautiful land of oversized shopping carts and endless aisles of deals, a second shopper compared the shrimp to yet another iconic ready-made meal: rotisserie chicken. The shopper claimed that Costco’s cocktail shrimp is to them “what the rotisserie chicken is to most other people: [you] can’t leave the store with[out] one!” Sounds like we’ll be having shrimp and chicken for dinner this week if you ask us!
