1.AT&T and Verizon are delaying their 5G service rollout near some airports after airlines expressed concerns about flight disruptions.
Several airline CEOs recently announced in a letter to federal officials that 5G service could interfere with aircraft systems, writing that so many flights would be cancelled, "the nation’s commerce will grind to a halt."
The 5G service uses a radio band that is close to the ones planes use to operate, but AT&T and Verizon say the technology has been operating without problems in many other countries.
For now, both companies have agreed to limit 5G service around airports.
2.A Chinese woman was stuck quarantining with her blind date for days after his city went on COVID-19 lockdown during their dinner together.
The woman surnamed Wang was traveling to find a potential suitor and got trapped in her fifth date's house while he was cooking dinner for her. She vlogged her whole lockdown experience, saying their romance hasn't really progressed much.
"Besides the fact that he's as mute as a wooden mannequin, everything else (about him) is pretty good," Wang told The Paper, a Shanghai-based digital newspaper. "Despite his food being mediocre, he's still willing to cook, which I think is great."
