Oreo’s Celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90th Birthday With Sprinkle-Studded Cookies
It’s hard to believe, but we’re coming up on Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday in November, and the celebrations have already begun. From a pop-up art exhibit in NYC to Sugarfina’s new Mickey candy collection, brands are honoring everyone’s favorite cartoon mouse in all different ways. The latest tasty tribute in honor of this milestone occasion? Oreo, who is releasing a limited-edition birthday cake cookie, and we’ve got all the sweet details.
The special birthday cake Oreo flavor will feature three festive Mickey Mouse-themed designs on the signature chocolate wafers, which we think is a fitting for such a beloved Disney character. Though Oreo released birthday cake cookies before, this marks the first time the iconic cartoon has had his very own Oreos. What a way to ring in the big 9-0.
Oreo’s limited-edition Mickey Mouse cookies will be available nationwide beginning September 24 while supplies last. Since Mickey’s actual birthday isn’t until November 18, it’s perfectly reasonable to raise a few glasses (of milk) to Mickey as you snack on the sprinkle-studded creme cookies. Sequin cupcake birthday Minnie ears not required, but certainly encouraged.
