The Original 'Santa Clause' Cast Looks So Different 26 Years Later
The last Santa Clause movie in the three-part franchise wrapped up in 2006, and since then many of the original cast members from the 1994 film have gone on to accomplish so much in their careers. In case you're curious about what they've all been up to, here's a breakdown on what the Clause gang is doing now.
Needless to say, the '90s were HUGE for Tim Allen. Apart from playing jolly old Saint Nick in The Santa Clause, the actor was already known for being Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story and Tim Taylor in Home Improvement. In between filming the second and third Santa Clause movies, Tim also starred in These Guys, Wild Hogs, and The Shaggy Dog.
Years later, and Tim is still a huge name in the industry. Tim has continued doing the voice for Buzz Lightyear over the years and starred in Toy Story 4 when it was released in June 2019. Since the last Santa Clause movie was made in 2006, the 67-year-old star has also become a sitcom hero for playing Mike Baxter on Last Man Standing.
By the time Neal — er, Judge — took on The Santa Clause, he was already a pretty major star. In the late '80s, Judge played a slew of big-time roles including Gerald in Gremlins, Detective Billy Rosewood in Beverly Hills Cop, and Jed in Trying Times.
Judge, 63, has been busy racking up acting credits over the years. The year 2017 was particularly busy for him as he took on three major projects: Four Christmases and a Wedding, Bad Grandmas, and Highly Functional. But still, to die-hard Clause fans, he'll forever be Neal.
Like Judge, Wendy was a well-known star in the '80s before taking on the role of Laura. More specifically, she appeared in many TV series and TV movies – Hard Copy (Blake Calisher), Tanner '88 (Joanna Buckley), and Studio 5-B (Gali Browning) to name a few.
Wendy, 64, has been working tirelessly since playing Scott's non-believing ex-wife. While she appeared in movies here and there, her career continued to revolve primarily around television shows. Some of her biggest projects since 2006 include parts on ReGenesis, The Bridge, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Saving Hope.
After playing Bernard the Elf in 1994, David started popping up everywhere throughout the rest of the decade. Some of his most notable parts include playing Billy in Chicago Sons, David in Monty, and Michael in 10 Things I Hate About You.
Now 42, David has accomplished a lot in the post-Clause years. Most recently, he's starred as Rabbi Gill in Living Biblically, Harvey Wasserman in The Deuce, and Timo in All Hail King Julien.
Adorable little Charlie made hearts explode everywhere when The Santa Clause debuted. While he was only eight years old when he appeared on screen as Scott's son, Eric had already played David in Sunny's Deliverance, Leo Hill in Laurie Hill, and young Kevin Arnold in The Wonder Years. A star from the start!
Red carpet photos of Eric now are hard to come by, probably because he's primarily working behind the camera these days. As Eric's website states, the 34-year-old now works as a director, editor, audio engineer, and producer for his production company LP Studios in L.A. Oh, and based on this Instagram photo, he's also quite the beer model as well.
