Over 100 new food and drink options available, including never-before-tasted flavors of cream puffs at the Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin State Fair is approaching quickly, and officials have revealed that the event will feature over 100 new foods and beverages.

Known for its innovative food and drink offerings, this year’s State Fair is no exception, with items like the family-sized Strawberry Funnel Cake Sandwich and a Cream Puff Soda.

Organizers say the best way to check out some of the new food and drink options is through the Food Finder on the Wisconsin State Fair’s website. The Food Finder is an online search engine created by staff that compiles all vendors and food and drink items found at the annual event.

The Wisconsin State Fair will welcome ten new vendors, from Badger Bites and their buffalo chicken dip role to Sodalish and their cream puff soda.

Families looking to attend the fair on a budget should head over on Tuesday, August 6, where a variety of food is served at reduced prices. The special offers allow you to dig into more dishes and drinks at wallet-friendly prices.

Additionally, families can save big by purchasing the Bargain Book for $6.00 ($5.00 early if you buy online). The Bargain Book features over 80 coupons from State Fair vendors and partners, offering discounts on food, beverages, gadgets, souvenirs, SpinCity, and more.

Fair food on a stick seems to be a big seller at the State Fair, and organizers have created their own category to view all the items sold on a stick. From Cool Ranch Doritos Pickle on a stick to a Chicken Bacon Ranch Waffle on a stick, the choices seem nearly endless.

The star of the show at the Wisconsin State Fair is the cream puff, and this year, the delicious delight is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Organizers say in honor of this anniversary, never-before-taste, limited-edition cream puff flavors are being released throughout the 11-day run of the State Fair.

These specialty Cream Puff flavors will only be available on select days to the first 1,924 Fairgoers, a number honoring the debut year, 1924, of the Original Cream Puff at the Wisconsin State Fair.

Tickets are available online now for $15.00 for adults ($18.00 at the gate) and $13.00 for seniors and children ages 6-11. Military/Veterans with ID can get tickets for $13.00 and children under five are free.
