Paris Hilton Adds 'New Baby' to Her Growing Family
Five months after taking home newborn son Phoenix Barron Carter Reum, Paris Hilton welcomed another "baby" into the family.
In an Instagram post, the heiress revealed that she just adopted a new puppy. She shared a video of her "special delivery," receiving a brown-and-white chihuahua. "Hey everyone, meet the newest addition to the Hilton pets family. This is my little guy," she said in the video.
Hilton continued: "As you all know, I recently lost [my dog] Harajuku B***h. She was my 23-year-old chihuahua. I miss her and love her so much and [the new pup] reminds me so much of her. His mom is actually Harajuku's cousin, so I'm so happy to have Harajuku's little nephew."
In the caption, the reality TV star-turned-DJ wrote, "Absolutely in love with my new puppy from @FouFouPuppies.???? He is so adorable and sweet!?? So special that he’s actually related to my angel Harajuku Bitch who passed earlier this year. ???? It’s like having a little piece of her still here with me???? What should I name my new baby???."
Fans got emotional seeing that Hilton got a chihuahua related to her late pup.
"Not me crying that the puppy kissed her as soon as she said Harajuku’s name," wrote a fan. Another suggested, "You should name them ? Shibuya ?and keep harajuku's legacy alive! Congrats on your new baby ????."
However, when some fans saw that Fou Fou Puppies is a breeding company instead of a shelter, they expressed their disapproval in the comments.
"Sad you’re promoting a breeder…adopt don’t shop!!" read a comment. One fan pleaded, "Paris!!! I love you but I can’t believe you don't adopt a rescue!!"
Another wrote, "The shelter has many dogs to adopt from and are euthanized every day for not having a home. Adopt, don't shop," while someone else added, "An #ad for a corporate breeder is the most insane thing I have ever seen what the hell."
Hilton didn't give much thought to the backlash, though, sharing puppy videos on her Instagram Stories and urging fans to share name suggestions.
