People Really Want To Live With Roommates Who Drink Wine, Survey Says
Honestly, walking through your front door after a long day out is one of the best feelings in the world. That is unless you have a roommate you just don't vibe with, in which case...godspeed. Apparently though, for a lot of people, that's the case if they're stuck living with anyone who doesn't enjoy drinking wine. And I get it, really.
According to a recent survey conducted by SpareRoom-the room and roommate finder tool for anyone living in the UK and US-there are about 25 key factors that determine whether you and your roommate(s) will get along.
In fact, POPSUGAR points out, when asked about drinking habits, 25 percent of the more than 6,000 roommates and roommate-seekers surveyed in the United States said it's pretty vital that their roommate drinks wine. Which...yea, makes sense to me!
Additionally, the list of roommate preferences emphasized the importance of living with someone who has common interests like cooking and baking, similar diets or dietary habits (keto, anyone?), and a willingness to share a Netflix subscription (because, duh.)
All in all, respondents essentially decided they wanted to live with someone like themselves, which isn't so bad, is it? I guess that means the U.S. has a lot of wine drinkers looking for living partners, and, like I said, I UNDERSTAND.
