When it comes to Game Day snacks, there's no holding back at Delish. Super Bowl is our Thanksgiving — for real though; it's become a legit food holiday. When thinking of what to make, all the options can be overwhelming: dips! wings! nachos!
We've become into a food group called cheese balls. These mighty apps are ultimate crowd-pleasers: their base is cream cheese, so you can easily flavor it with whatever ingredients you want. Our most popular combo is bacon, cheddar, pecan, but we've also gone sweet with a cookie dough-style cheese ball.
Next up: a pepperoni-covered cheese ball. We first saw this idea on Mom On Timeout and fell in love with the idea of blanketing the entire exterior of a cheese ball with mini pepperoni. The actual cheese ball is Italian style, with mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and garlic. The real charm comes from using a slice of mozzarella to create "laces" like a football (hence why this is a literal pigskin).
