Is This the Perfect Bag for Fall? The 2,500-Person Wait List Says So
What makes the perfect handbag? Is it trendy? Versatile? Well-made? That's kind of up to the individual, but at least 2,500 of those individuals are willing to wait and see if the Tulip Bag is the one.
Created by Florence-based, small-leather-goods company Linjer, the medium-sized drawstring bucket bag (which comes in three different color combos) garnered nearly $600,000 in pre-sales alone through an Indiegogo campaign.
OK, so it does sorta remind us of the Mansur Gavriel buckets seen on every chic New Yorker's arm, and it's also got a similar price point ($425 versus Mansur's $595). But what makes the bag unique is the way it expands when the drawstring is undone, revealing a soft interior canvas that can hold an iPad, a sweater and a makeup bag all at once. Yep, just like your This Is Us-watching sweatpants, it's deceptively roomy.
Down for the hype? The pre-ordered bags will begin shipping October 16, and new orders will ship at the end of this month. And just so you're not waiting around in those sweats until then, we've got 31 outfit ideas to help you pass the time. You're welcome.
