Prince Louis Shows Sweet Smile in New Birthday Pics

Prince William and Kate Middleton's children are growing up so fast!

Prince Louis, the youngest (and funniest!) of their brood, turns 5 on April 23. To celebrate his birthday, Kensington Palace has released two sweet new pics of the fifth in line to the throne.

The photos, shared on The Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram account show the young prince outdoors enjoying the spring weather with his mom. Louis wears a blue Fair Isle sweater and shorts as Kate pushes him in a wheelbarrow. Bright greenery and pink and white flowers blooming in the distance appear to show that the pic was taken recently—as the landscape awakens from winter.

Photographer, Millie Pilkington, took the sweet snaps, a change from past photos taken by Kate, the now-Princess of Wales.

"Someone’s turning 5 tomorrow… ?? ??A very happy birthday to Prince Louis.?? @milliepilkingtonphotography," the post caption read.

The photos are the second new snaps of Louis released in recent days. A few days before Louis' birthday, the royal family released a never-before-seen photo of Queen Elizabeth II with the next generations of royals.

In the snapshot, which the Princess of Wales (then the Duchess of Cambridge) took at Balmoral in summer 2022, the Queen sits with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Prince Louis is pictured alongside his brother Prince George, sister Princess Charlotte and cousins, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex; Lena Tindall; Isla Phillips; Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall and Savannah Phillips. Notably absent from the photo are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Prince Louis' birthday comes just weeks before a very busy time for the British royal family. His grandfather, King Charles III's coronation is May 6. Although official details are slim, all three of the Wales children will attend the event with Prince George serving as Page of Honour for his grandfather.
